Safeguarding

Walton and Lees Hill are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead at school is Mrs Rooney, our Deputy Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Stobbart and our Safeguarding Governor is Mary Alston.

Our Chair to Governors, Joss Scouler and Head Teacher, Lynn Rooney are both fully up to date with their Prevent Duty and Safer Recruitment training to further reinforce their commitment and knowledge around safeguarding. All of our Governors and staff members undertake regular training to ensure they are up to date with the latest statutory guidelines.

Online Safety is an integral part of children’s education in today’s digital world. Below, you will find helpful E-Safety newsletters and posters with advice for children, parents and carers on how to stay safe online.

If you have any safeguarding concerns we are always here to listen and assist you with these. This school takes its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of pupils and young people seriously and we aim to work in partnership with parents and carers to support pupils and families.
